Marc Whalen Creative is an independently-owned graphic design and photography studio located in New York City.
Marc’s work encompasses graphics and identity, editorial and advertorial design, exhibitions and event installations, street art and art experiences, advertising and communications.
Specializing in portrait photography, travel, events, and photojournalism as well.
As a New York City based graphic designer, Marc has worked for magazines and news papers such as Condé Nast Traveler, Discover, Fortune, Fortune Small Business, Money, New York, New York Post, O, The Oprah Magazine, Print, Scholastic, Spin, Time Inc’s Custom Publishing Division and Time Out North America on various projects including their editorial content, advertorial content, branding, advertising, on-line content and supplement projects, illustration and photography.
In addition to Marc’s work in publishing, he developed promotional materials, identity campaigns, film title sequences and/or photographed for numerous clients, including Bristalcone Films, Effie, Effie/Heineken, Grand Central Terminal, TEDxEast, Tina Brown Live Media/Women in the World, Syfy Channel and USA Network.
Marc’s work has been recognized with the Gold Ozzie award from Folio and numerous awards from the Society of Publication Designers.
The Library of Congress acquired one of Marc’s posters, dealing with reaction to the September 11th attacks, for the permanent archive collection.
Marc resides in New York City where he enjoys contributing to the local street art scene. A native of New York City, Marc uses the city’s energy for inspiration in his visual art.
